Where Experience Counts ...

Rajan and Shivani have already established a busy dental practice in Central Reading. They have put their skills and experience into designing The Evergreen Dental Centre to create a bespoke dental environment for their patients.

Rajan Sharma BDS (Lon) MFDS RCS (Eng)
GDC:79870

Rajan qualified from Guy’s Dental Hospital in London. He has varied experience in many fields of dentistry including Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal Berkshire and Wexham Park Hospitals. He has also worked in a high profile dental surgery in Central London with a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry.

Highlighting his commitment to professional development, in 2005 he gained his Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS), part of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

His gentle nature and extensive experience in oral surgery has proved very successful with his patients. He is also qualified in giving intravenous sedation for anxious and nervous patients.

He is a gold member of the International Academy of Advanced Facial Aesthetics. He provides facial rejuvenation treatments to many of his patients. Please click here for more information.

Rajan is trained and fully qualified to place and restore dental implants. He has completed a highly regarded Surgical Implantology course at the Tatum Institute.  He has been taught directly by Professor Hilt Tatum, who has pioneered dental implants over the last forty years.  

Rajan is also studying a course on Occlusion and Restorative Dentistry at the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Key Biscayne, Florida. This has enabled him to undertake more complex cases and provide more comprehensive treatment to his patients.

Rajan’s interests outside work include health and fitness and travelling, where he has accomplished a few feats including; Sky diving, swimming with sharks and mountain biking down Table Mountain in Cape Town!

He is a proud father and spends what spare time he has with his little girl and new son!

Shivani Sharma BDS (Birm) MFGDP (UK)

Shivani qualified from Birmingham Dental School. She has worked in various practices in London, where she has treated patients with a wide range of dental needs. She enjoys treating families and is always keen to promote oral health especially to children. Her gentle nature means that she has successfully treated very nervous patients and restored their confidence in dentistry. Like Rajan, Shivani is qualified to treat patients under intravenous sedation.

She is committed to keeping up to date with advances in dentistry and has completed the prestigious Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practice. She is also a Certified Invisalign® (Invisible Braces) Practitioner.

Between having children Shivani has proved her determination in providing top class dental treatment, developing her skills in cosmetic dentistry by attending a variety of courses.

Shivani likes to go scuba diving and has trekked through the jungles in Borneo. She has also jumped out of a plane at 10,000 feet!

Nowadays, her other passion, is to provide oral health education to local schools.

Margarita Kyrou DipDS (Greece)

Margarita qualified from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece in 2005. She has been practicing in dental practices in West Sussex and London ever since and joined our practice in 2009. She has completed her Diploma in Implant Dentistry at Warwick University and is currently undertaking the final Master’s year. She is undertaking the renowned Christopher Orr Course in Cosmetic Dentistry and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry and has also completed a Certificate Course in Aesthetic Dentistry.

Margarita is highly interested in implant, restorative and aesthetic dentistry and is a conscientious and passionate practitioner who identifies a challenge in every simple or complex aspect of her everyday practice.

Her interests outside work include maintaining a healthy lifestyle by exercising, swimming and skiing. Also, she loves travelling.

Marina Spanaki DDS (Greece) MSc (London)
GDC: 78792

Marina graduated from Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece in 2000. After graduating she worked in hospital dentistry in Crete.

In 2001 she came to England and since then she has been working in both NHS and private practices. She has a great interest in Endodontics, which is the branch of dentistry dealing with treatment of the nerves and roots of teeth. One of the most prestigious Endodontics courses in the EU is at Guys Hospital in London where Marina commenced her MSc in Endodontics in 2003. She completed the course in 2005. She is a visiting Endodontist to practices in Reading and Windsor.

She provides Endodontics to the highest standards in accordance with latest guidelines and with the use of a microscope. Along with Endodontics Marina also has great experience in all aspects of general dentistry. She regularly attends postgraduate courses.

Marina is married with two small children and whenever she finds spare time she likes going to the gym or relaxing with a book.

Rupal Patel BDS (Lon) MFDS RCS (Eng) (UK)
GDC: 83773 Practice limited to Periodontology

Rupal qualified from Guy's Hospital passing with honors.  She spent a year working as a Maxillofacial Senior House Officer at Chase Farm Hospital.  During this year she was awarded the MFDS Diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons.

Rupal then spent several years working in general practice and this is where she developed her interest in Periodontology.  In 2008 she started a Masters in Clinical Dentistry (Periodontology) back at Guy’s Hospital.  Her interest lies in the management of periodontal conditions and she has extensive experience in non-surgical and surgical therapy.

Rupal is also heavily involved in teaching.  She has previously taught undergraduates at University and is a foundation dentist trainer in general practice.  She also regularly lectures on Periodontology to other dentists for the Oxford Deanary and has published work in the Journal of Periodontology.                          

Outside of work, Rupal enjoys traveling and loves skiing.

Marie Fitt Dip Dent Hygiene RCS Edin
GDC: 6218

Marie qualified from Defence Dental Agency training Establishment in 2003 whilst serving in the Royal Air Force. She has worked in a variety of different areas of dentistry, including working alongside prosthodontists and implant specialists in Harley Street. Marie keeps up to date on the latest courses in dental hygiene. Marie enjoys working with and supporting nervous patients as well as helping them understand the importance of good gum health as a foundation to the whole mouth. Marie believes in getting to know her patients and what works best for them rather than the angry sergeant major approach!

Between running after her two young children, Marie loves spending much of her time outdoors with her dog Lolly, as well as running, cycling and baking.
